Under the Slovenian law on employment records (Zakon o evidencah na področju dela in socialne varnosti), employers must keep records of their employees’ working time. In practice, this often means sheets on the wall that someone copies into Excel at the end of the month. It takes time and is full of mistakes.
What the records must include
Among other things: arrival at and departure from work, hours worked, overtime and absences such as leave or sick leave. For the exact requirements for your company, check with your accountant, as the rules can differ depending on the type of work.
Clocking in with one tap
In eNalog, employees clock in at the kiosk with a card or PIN when they arrive. In the field, they do it with their phone or by scanning an NFC tag or QR code at the site. The time is recorded automatically, with no retyping.
Breaks and absences
Lunch, leaving for a business errand or finishing for the day is recorded with one button. Employees request leave in the app, you approve it, and it’s already in the absence calendar.
Monthly overview for payroll
At the end of the month, you open the hours overview by employee and export it. Your accountant gets tidy data, and you save hours of retyping.
When someone forgets
It happens. An administrator can add the employee’s arrival afterwards, so the records stay complete.
Bonus: time on work orders
Once you’re recording arrivals and departures, the next step is time on individual work orders. Then you can see how many hours went on customers and how many on internal work – and how much you actually invoiced.
